OKOROCHA AND N5.9 BILLION MBAITOLI COUNCIL FUNDS

Written by Kenneth Uwadi.

Some time ago Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State announced his readiness to conduct local government council election in Imo. My townsman by name Okereke rushed and collected the expression of interest form for councillor position. He tried to make me believe that Okorocha was really interested in conducting the council election. Okereke spoke like a man who knows what Okorocha can and cannot do; he spoke like a man who know what commentators like me don’t know but ought to know. And Okereke claimed to know a lot about the Imo State helmsman. But the more he tried to assuage my trepidation and misgiving about Okorocha the more I laughed at him; the more he tried to fine-tune his analysis of Imo political situation, the more i cautioned him not to waste his money . And why not; after all, it was Okorocha we were talking about. Owelle Rochas Okorocha!

Reasons not Pleas

Let’s call him Nengi. Nengi just got admitted into the prestigious University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus. With joy he stepped into the great institution of learning happy that all his dreams were being actualised. He was assigned to Kenneth Dike Hall, Room I110 he couldn’t wait to go and bond,” perhaps they will also be freshers he thought to himself.”

UWAJUMOGU, OKOROCHA AND IHITTE UBOMA COUNCIL FUNDS

Written by Kenneth Uwadi.

Since I started pointing out the funds looted by the governor Rochas Okorocha’s government and their lack of arithmetic knowledge of governance, I have been branded so many unprintable names by a selected group of unproductive, uninformed, money hungry, favour seeking, paranoid supporters of the government and accused of being sponsored by political opponents .But this is not true. I am only a concerned citizen of Imo State that is angry that Imo youths have no jobs and angry with what the thieving political elites currently in power are doing in Imo State. I’m disappointed that the governor’s supporters resorted to name-calling rather than addressing issues of stealing and poor performance raised, but I’m not surprised given this present Imo government hooliganism way of confronting those who disagree with them. They are holding Samuelson Iwuoha illegally in detention for 2 months now for talking. No matter what they plan to do to me , I must talk. It is my right to talk as long as i am saying the truth.

Democracy, power, r ule of law and the Judiciary

Written by MICHAL ADEBOLA ADENIYI.

According to Abraham lincoln, democracy is when the indegent and not the rich noble men of property are the rulers. Democracy simply means the bludgeoning of the people by the people and for the people and let us not forget that a democratic government is ourselve and not aliens power over us. The ultimate of our democracy shouldn’t be the president, governors, senators ,  or other government officials but the electorate, I mean the common men on the street. We must note that one pervaiding evil of  democracy is the tyranny of the majority that succeeds by force or fraud in an elction, hence dictatorship and tyranny naturally rises out of democracy and the Most aggravated form of tyranny and slavery out of the most extreme liberty, called power

“Obiano’s APGA is a winner and indomitable in Anambra”- Emeka Chiakwelu

Written by Emeka Chiakwelu.

Americans will say, “Do not kid yourself” which literally means not to deceive oneself; no political party can defeat All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) on their home turf of Anambra State.   I am not saying this to join the bandwagon because Chief Willie Obiano is winning the governorship election in Anambra State.
