UNLEARNING THE LEARNED MINSDET

Written by Ismail Auwal { iaga} on 11 May 2015.

Islam is a religion of justice, but it has been corrupted into an ideology of fear.We are living in a society in which islam or religious practices is heavenly marked by our culture of origin, we are living in a society in which islam is mistaken with culture, islam  is looking hausa’s to the hausa’s and yorubas’s to the Yoruba’s. islam is a set of principles and universals values therefore is should never be mistaken with culture.

The Atmosphere of the contemporary society we are living is that prevent women from playing any role beyond the significant natural role of child bearing, women wishes to participate in all facet of lives of lives but the society  does injustice by building an impediment towards their goals.

Our society had taught us that males are more important than females, instead of it’s to teaching us that there are as important as us, there are as humans as we are, it’s should have teach us that there are as worthy as men. Parent raises their daughters differently from male’s child the boys are taught to be afraid of fair, to be afraid of weakness, we are taught to mask our true selves while our sisters were taught the opposite.

Religion has been much mixed with the traditional and cultural ethics of the society, religious practices have been heavenly marked with culture of origin, which in turn restrict women to the four walls of their room and prevent them from participating society developmental activities.

Men and women are indeed different, we have different hormones and different biological abilities. Men are physically stronger than women, but the world we are living today is a world in which physically strength is not an attribute in being successful, the person more likely to prosper is the creative and intelligent person.

SO THE SOCIETY TO GIVE OUR SISTER EQAUL OPPORTUNITY AS OURSELVES.
